The Ocean King shipyard presents its second Doge 400, currently under construction at the Chioggia shipyard.

Designed by Alessandro Lottici's aLOT Design Studio and built entirely in Italy from steel and aluminum, the Doge 400 is an explorer yacht with an elegant, streamlined design and three decks.

The vessel’s advanced engineering includes systems typically found on commercial vessels, while large windows along the hull “ensure exceptional brightness thanks to the seamlessly integrated internal and external living areas.”

The interiors of the Doge 400 were designed by BurdissoCapponi in a luxurious yet discreet and functional style, designed for maximum onboard well-being. The two designers, the shipyard explains in a press release, worked to identify the yacht's technical/functional elements and treat them as aesthetic elements that would characterize the interior. They focused their attention on the ventilation and lighting systems, choosing to shield the former behind perforated panels (so-called frames) that are backlit in some areas, helping to enliven and emphasize the architecture with plays of light and shadow.

"A Metaphysical Grid represents the main inspiration for the project. We wanted a composed and balanced space, punctuated by the repetition of a module that would help rationalize the space," stated the Burdisso and Capponi duo: a principle found throughout the yacht.

At the stern, the Doge 400 offers a spacious beach area with a built-in gym and a garage for a large tender. The metallic gray color of the hull and superstructure further enhances its dynamic profile.

The yacht will be powered by 1040 kW engines, allowing it to cruise at up to 16 knots and guaranteeing a range of over 5000 nautical miles. This Doge 400 is scheduled for launch in April 2025, with delivery to its experienced owner scheduled for later.
