The first WiderCat 92 will debut at the 2024 Venice Boat Show

Wider announces that its innovative WiderCat 92 catamaran will debut on the Italian market during the Venice Boat Show, which will take place from May 29 to June 2, 2024, thus anticipating its world debut scheduled for the Cannes Yachting Festival next September.
“The public presentation of the WiderCat 92 represents a fundamental milestone for the shipyard and the realization of the new Wider era under the leadership of Marcello Maggi – president of W-Fin Sarl, the holding company that owns 100% of Wider’s capital,” the shipyard explained in a statement.
The 28-meter WiderCat 92, a fiberglass yacht born from the collaboration between Luca Dini Design and the Wider Style Center, is the first in a new series of catamarans designed by the Marche-based shipyard, which describes it as “perfectly integrated between exterior and interior spaces, offering a harmonious fusion of aesthetics, functionality, and technological innovation.”
The WiderCat 92 boasts two spacious and comfortable VIP cabins and a double guest cabin, while the owner's suite occupies almost half the total space on the main deck. "But what truly sets this vessel apart is its serial hybrid propulsion system, cutting-edge technology that integrates seamlessly with the yacht's innovative design. The tender garage, which transforms into a spacious aft beach area, and the fold-down bulkheads that enhance the generous Beach Club are eloquent examples of how space management onboard has been carefully considered and optimized," the statement continues. "This not only maximizes passenger comfort, but also elevates the cruising experience to a higher level, combining elegance, functionality, and sustainability at sea."
Marcello Maggi expressed great satisfaction with the WiderCat 92: "It demonstrates Wider's cutting-edge vision and construction expertise. Today, as in the past, Wider approaches the nautical market with ambition and a desire to continually push the boundaries of technological innovation."
Wider is supported by Applied, the shipyard reports, with its Future Marine software suite: cutting-edge systems for maritime navigation, offering reliable solutions for the digital control and management of the most advanced vessels. Specifically, the Italian company, a leader in technological innovation and a strategic partner for industrial companies, has developed an innovative and engaging cockpit for Wider, integrating real-time 3D visualizations for monitoring and controlling onboard systems. "The strong visual impact and easy-to-use content also extend to document management, improving overall operational efficiency onboard and significantly facilitating after-sales support."
The presentation of the WiderCat 92 will be followed, in the weeks following the Genoa Boat Show, by the release of a 4-episode web series produced in collaboration with The Creative Brothers in which the main protagonists of the project will recount the genesis and evolution of this multihull.
Wider chose Venice for the debut of its new catamaran because of its special significance for the shipyard: it is home to the Wider Superyacht Hub, where construction continues on another ambitious project: the Moonflower 72, a 72-meter superyacht built in collaboration with Nauta Design.
The shipyard is also currently busy building other WiderCat 92 units at its new Fano facility, the Wider Vision Hub, and plans to soon expand the range with new models, after having launched both the WiderCat 92 and the first unit of the sleek WiLder 60 in recent months.
The 2024 Venice Boat Show will also feature Wider's collaboration with several Italian and international brands: "Talenti furnishings, the expression of original minds and tools that craft furnishings with attention to detail and meticulously select materials and finishes, will be the protagonists of the Wider stand, while TooA will demonstrate how tradition and technology can come together to create a Wider-flavored ice cream. Aboard the WiderCat 92, visitors will also be able to experience firsthand the customized versions of the Wider special edition Seabob F5S and the world's first electric SUP, SipaBoards Neo Silver Drive by Wider," concludes the statement from the Marche-based shipyard.
