Another edition of the 2024 Spring Regattas has been archived in Portofino.
On the top step of the No Regret podium, Felice Egidi's ICE 52 for the IRC and Aori category, Stefano Brunello's Wally 80 in the Open category

The 2024 edition of the Portofino Spring Regattas concluded on Sunday, May 5th, with the winners being No Regret, Felice Egidi's ICE 52 in the IRC category, and Aori, Stefano Brunello's Wally 80 in the Open category.
The final race of this edition was characterized by winds of 10 to 12 knots from the southeast and followed a different course than the previous days: it began with a beat toward Sestri Levante and then returned to Portofino, where only the IRC boats completed a double loop. A spectacular route that took the boats to the Portofino promontory beneath the eponymous lighthouse, now an iconic landmark of these regattas.
The competition report speaks of a positive day for the crew of FlyingNikka, Roberto La Corte's prototype, who managed to take to the air and maintain a clear gap from the rest of the fleet in real time, although not enough to reward them in corrected time.
In the Open group, immediately behind the winner Aori, Bambù IV, the Solaris 50 owned by Swiss owner Renzo Franco, confirmed its position, ahead of Bandido, the ICE 70 RS owned by Mexican Ernesto Aguilar, who managed to move up a position at the expense of Enigma, the Solaris 50 owned by Giacomo Enea Mansutti, who slipped to fourth position by just two points.
In the final classification of the IRC group, however, a double win for the ICE Yachts shipyard with the ICE 52 in the lead No Regret, before SoleagJean Yves Thomas's French ICE 53. Third place, tied for points. Mistral Gagnant, Marco Ferrero's Solaris 50, who finished fourth in today's race.
The awards ceremony began with the president of the Yacht Club Italiano, Carlo Cameli, who greeted and thanked all the partners, the shipyard representatives, and, above all, the true protagonists of the regatta: owners and crews who colored the Gulf of Tigullio during these spectacular three days.
In addition to the top three finishers in each category, Furio Benussi's ARCA Fondi also received awards, winning the YCI Cup as the best boat across the finish line, and the Performance Trophy, for the crew that achieved the best recovery between the first and last races, which went to Niccolò Maisto's Solaris 64RS Good Game, which therefore received a latest-generation B&G processor.
