Marine TEKnology, a branch of the Sicurtek company based in Calenzano, in the province of Florence, has announced that it has registered its trademark with the Ministry of Enterprise and Made in Italy, thus starting a new phase of development in the world of superyachts.

"These two areas can be seamlessly integrated," explains owner Stefano Barducci, "thanks to our patented system that detects the transit and presence of a potential intruder in the sensorized areas of the vessel, while allowing complete freedom of movement throughout the remaining spaces. The system can also be used for specific controls and applications requested by the owner. Thus, in addition to providing constant monitoring against unwanted "visitors," Tek's invisible sensors, mounted on the ceiling below the floor of the monitored areas, also allow for the creation of customized home automation scenarios based on user needs, such as automatically opening doors, turning on lights, and activating video surveillance."

“The product's unique feature,” Barducci continues, “is that, in addition to being reliable and invisible, Tek is easy to install, doesn't wear out, doesn't rust, requires no maintenance, and can be easily integrated with existing systems.”

“Tek is a wired sensor system that offers the advantage of being installed, even during interior restyling, in the ceiling below the areas to be alarmed (bridge, cockpit, corridor, stairs), detecting unwanted transit or stops in the monitored areas and creating increasingly cutting-edge solutions for designers, builders and shipowners.

The company has already participated in the international nautical fair Metstrade in Amsterdam and, following the initial positive feedback, has decided to submit an application to re-present its stand at the 2024 edition of the Dutch event, a sought-after showcase for all stakeholders in the global luxury boat sector, the statement concludes.
