Sanlorenzo's new supplementary company agreement includes greater safety and inclusiveness.
A free counseling center will provide support to foreign workers at all production sites; language and cultural literacy courses are also planned.

Sanlorenzo has announced its latest initiatives aimed at pursuing ever-higher quality work, focusing on human excellence, talent development, and inclusion.
Among these, at the Ameglia, La Spezia, Viareggio, and Massa shipyards, is the "Cultural Mediation Desk," provided for by the group's new Company-Wide Agreement. This agreement aims to foster the inclusion of diverse cultures on the shipyards and is essential for fostering greater integration.
The initiative, explains the project, includes a listening and support desk provided by a cultural mediator from the Mondo Aperto Cooperative, supported by a local health authority technician for issues related to work, health, and needs, such as document requests, GP referrals, child school enrollment, and more.
The Help Desk is available to foreign workers free of charge, on alternate weeks, with a schedule that covers all needs and production locations.
Among the key issues of the new Company-wide Agreement is workplace safety, which has seen initiatives such as "Safety Pause," a series of meetings for reflection and sharing on the topic of safety culture held in recent weeks at individual construction sites and which is part of a broader series of initiatives. The goal, continues Sanlorenzo, is to help raise employee awareness on this issue, thanks also to the testimonies of those who have had firsthand experience of serious workplace accidents.
"Following the successful pilot program launched at the La Spezia shipyard last year, we decided, as part of our supplementary company agreement signed on October 26th, to make the cultural mediation desk a permanent tool across all our shipyards to support foreign workers employed by subcontractors. We are particularly proud of this initiative, which is part of a broader ESG strategy and will also provide foreign workers employed by subcontractors with the opportunity to attend language and cultural literacy courses directly at our shipyards," said Pier Francesco Acquaviva, Human Resources Director at Sanlorenzo. We are also proud to implement another provision of our company-wide supplementary agreement, which established moments of reflection on workplace safety culture. From February 19th to 21st, all our employees participated in safety breaks organized at all our offices. During these breaks, we heard the testimony of a person who suffered a serious workplace injury, demonstrating our ongoing commitment to such a crucial issue as workplace safety.
