A rough hull destined for Cantieri delle Marche was launched at Seadock in Trieste.
Built by Cbn of Ancona, which has sought further operational spaces on the Adriatic, the 30,40 metre hull will be towed by sea to reach the CdM facilities where the fitting out phase will begin.
The rough hull of a 30,40-meter superyacht was launched in the industrial port of Trieste, along the quay of Seadock, a Samer Group company. It is the first of a series of maxi yachts built in Trieste by the Ancona-based shipyard CNB, on behalf of Cantieri delle Marche. The hull, which will now be towed to Ancona, where the fitting-out phase will begin, took six months to build.
Seadock has provided CNB, a shipyard specializing in the production of superyachts for the international market, with 2.000 square meters of space, including 1.100 square meters of covered space, for the construction of this first maxi yacht—which has also created a network of approximately 50 local specialist workers—in addition to the second, already in production.
"In addition to traditional port activities, the Port Authority has always pursued the development of shipbuilding within the industrial and overall port sector. These are the results of ongoing support and collaboration between the public and private sectors," observed Zeno D'Agostino, president of the Eastern Adriatic Sea Port Authority.
Cnb Scarl has been active as a shipyard since 1999. To meet the great demand for work in recent years, it has sought new spaces in the Adriatic, both at Seadock in the port of Trieste and in the Venetian port of Marghera, where it is building even larger yachts.
