First meeting of the Board of Directors and Development of Recreational Boating
The meeting in Viareggio, together with AssoYacht, was also attended by the Association of Recreational Sailors, the Italian Yacht Chef Association, the Argentario Maritime Association and a representation of the Italian Yacht Stewardesses Association.

The first "Council for the Direction and Development of Recreational Boating" was held in Viareggio in recent days. whose establishment had been announced by the president of AssoYacht, Michael Tirrito, last March during the presentation event at the Cnel headquarters in Rome of the Ccnl Diporto Privato.
"The Council was created as a forum for discussion, aiming to identify and discuss critical issues in recreational boating and to promote regulatory interventions aimed at a forward-looking and sustainable evolution of the sector," explains a statement.
On this first occasion, the discussion was not only attended by the signatory associations of the National Collective Bargaining Agreement (CCNL), such as AssoYacht – Armatori del Diporto (President Michael Tirrito and Councilor Vito Tirrito), the Unilavoro Pmi confederation (National Secretary Vito Frijia and Vice President Giovandomenico Guadagno), and Confsal Fisals (National Secretary Filippo Palmieri), but also by several of the major historic seafarers' associations. Large delegations were present from A.Ma.Di (Associazione Marittimi del Diporto), IYCA (Italian Yacht Chef Association), the Argentario Marittimi Association, and a delegation from the Italian Yacht Stewardesses Association.
Among the topics discussed are the imminent modification of the so-called 'Titoli Decree' and related critical issues, especially regarding compliance with the Stcw standards, the analysis of the first year (2023) of national application of the Private Recreational CCNL, trade union and association collaboration, the development prospects of the recreational sector and the competitiveness of the Italian flag.
"The participation of such a broad representation of the maritime world is a source of great pride. Indeed, I am convinced that only a plurality of views and perspectives, when well synthesised, can effectively impact the sustainable and lasting development of the recreational boating sector," said AssoYacht President Michael Tirrito at the end of the lunch that followed the meeting.
