Arcadia Yachts grows green with photovoltaic systems
Solar panels have already been installed covering over 1200 square meters and more will soon be added: meanwhile, investments are being made in research to maximize the performance of existing panels.

Arcadia Yachts, a pioneer of green boating, confirms its intention to continue on this path and is doing so by striving to minimize the impact of its production activities on the ecosystem, starting with its two futuristic facilities overlooking the Gulf of Sorrento, on which it has installed solar panels in recent months and plans to install more soon and improve the efficiency of the existing ones.
Arcadia Yachts, located a few kilometers from Pompeii, has made environmental awareness one of its key priorities since its founding in 2008. It strives to build yachts with reduced environmental impact through optimized hulls and propulsion systems for fuel economy, extensive use of solar panels, opening windows, and double-glazed windows. Finally, it encourages relaxed cruising in complete harmony with the environment. It also expresses a firm commitment to using the most eco-sustainable production facilities possible.
The Arcadia Yachts headquarters spans 47.000 square meters, divided into two facilities of 36.000 and 11.000 square meters, as well as a marina for launching and hauling yachts. In recent months, it has seen an increasingly significant investment in solar panel installations. 612 Sunerg Solar panels have been installed across a total area of over 1.200 square meters, which will soon be expanded.
Part of the company's investments, meanwhile, will be allocated to research aimed at improving the performance of the installed panels, resulting in increased energy production, which currently covers 70% of the needs with an annual output of approximately 250.000 kWh. Furthermore, if we add to this figure the energy production of the fleet's boats, estimated at approximately 115.000 kWh, the shipyard's needs are virtually fully covered.
The use of solar panels has been implemented over the years thanks to collaboration with excellent partners both on boats and in structures, so much so that the yield of the panels used on Arcadia boats has been increased by over 38% in the last decade.
Ugo Pellegrino, founder and CEO of the shipyard, commented: "Arcadia Yachts' approach to the environment must encompass every single aspect of our work, and for this reason we have decided to accelerate work on our production facilities and continue research in this area. We want to introduce into our products, processes, and production facilities as quickly as possible all the skills and solutions already in place and proven in other industries that can minimize our impact on the world we live in."
