Flotta Ferretti Group 2023

"The Group intends to expand its yacht brokerage, charter, and management services, as well as its after-sales and refitting services, expand its brand extension and licensing activities, and further expand into the security and patrol market." For a shipyard like Ferretti Group, which has achieved consistently positive and growing results in recent years, perhaps the most interesting news reported in the latest quarterly report (July–August) concerns its intention to diversify and expand its scope into business sectors that are complementary and related to the pleasure boat building business.

The other two noteworthy developments, although some of which have already been made public, are that Ferretti Group “will expand its Made-to-measure offering to include larger alloy yachts, developing new alloy-hulled superyacht models under the iconic Riva, Wally, Pershing and Custom Line brands”, and that “the Group also intends to expand its yacht brokerage, charter and management services, as well as its after-sales and refitting services, extend its brand extension and licensing activities, and further expand into the security and patrol market”.

In terms of numbers, revenues for the first nine months of the year totaled €856,4 million, up 9,8% compared to the same period in 2022. Adjusted EBITDA reached €124,8 million (+17,7%), while net profit was €61,9 million (+30,6%). Order intake in the nine months reached €875 million, bringing the total order book as of September 30 to €1,471 billion, up 6,6% compared to the same date in 2022, thanks to continued strong demand for yachts.

Finally, the quarterly report states that "the Composite Yachts segment amounted to €434,2 million as of September 30, 2023, equal to approximately 29,5% of the total portfolio (compared to €435,4 million, equal to approximately 31,5% of the total portfolio as of September 30, 2022). The Made-to-measure Yachts segment reached €556 million as of September 30, 2023, equal to approximately 37,8% of the total portfolio (from €472,3 million, equal to approximately 34,2% of the total portfolio as of September 30, 2022). The Super Yachts segment reached €424,7 million as of September 30, 2023, equal to approximately 28,9% of the total portfolio (from €416,5 million, equal to approximately 30,2% of the total portfolio as of September 30, 2022)."
