Acquera Group lands in Dubai with Acquera Middle Est

The Venetian group, in partnership with Inchcape Shipping Services, launches the challenge on the emerging yachting market especially in the Gulf countries

Acquera Middle East

Acquera Group, a Venice-based company active in the pleasure boating sector, is strengthening its collaboration with the international group Inchcape Shipping Services, already its trusted partner in the merchant shipping sector, and establishing a true beachhead in Dubai.

Thus was born Acquera Middle East, a new company based in Dubai, managed by Thanura Dissanayake, a manager already well-known in the Middle Eastern market. The company's primary objective is to offer a network of high-quality yachting services throughout the Middle East region, incorporating—through the expanded partnership—the functions previously performed by Inchcape Shipping Services.

Acquera Yachting recently launched an innovative web platform capable of providing each individual pleasure craft with a range of technical, operational, and tourism information. This information already connects approximately a thousand destinations in the Mediterranean and will also cover the Middle Eastern market.

Acquera Middle East will therefore use Aypro, the company's ERP operating platform capable of streamlining processes and improving efficiency, including in the field of financial remittances.

In parallel, AcqueraPro, a web platform already used by a growing number of vessels in the Mediterranean, will streamline customs and bureaucratic procedures, as well as the interface between onboard and moorings. It will also promote the charm and unique attractions of the various territories involved, in this case the Middle East and the Arabian Peninsula, with intense tourism marketing efforts.

Acquera Middle East will act as a coordination centre aimed at overseeing local operations in several key territories, including Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Bahrain, Qatar, Dubai and Abu Dhabi and making its service network available to owners and operators of large yachts.

“The creation of Acquera Middle East and our exclusive partnership with Inchcape Shipping Services,” underlines Stefano Tositti, CEO of the Acquera group, “represent a milestone on the path to expanding the large yacht market and enhancing our services in increasingly promising new geographic areas.”

“Inchcape,” adds Grant Holmes, Global VP of the Cruise and Superyacht sector at ISS, “enthusiastically faces this new challenge, which can and must be met by guaranteeing the highest level of quality of services.”

Inchcape has a global network of over 245 offices in 60 countries across the Arabian Gulf, Arabian Sea and the wider Middle East region and a team of over 3.100 people.
