Alpha Yachts to build sustainable yachts in Monfalcone
The American shipyard will produce superyachts from 30 to 50 meters in Italy; approximately 250 jobs are expected starting in 2025.

Details are being added to the news released two months ago regarding the upcoming move of the Alpha Custom Yachts shipyard to Monfalcone, established with the signing of a contract between the shipyard and Coseveg – Consorzio di Sviluppo Economico della Venezia Giulia – for the acquisition of an 18.000-square-meter plot of land within the Canale Est Ovest hub of the Lisert industrial area.
The shipyard, founded by Mexican brothers Jorge and Roberto Aboumrad, industry veterans, is based in the United States and specializes in the construction of luxury superyachts in the 30- to 50-meter range. Its superyachts are distinguished by their pursuit of functionality and the elimination of formal and rarely used areas. They have collaborated for several years with Italian designer Giorgio Cassetta.
The shipyard's investment in the Gorizia area is worth €16 million and involves the construction of vessels up to 50 meters in length and approximately 250 new jobs. Construction was initially scheduled to begin in 2024.

The investment project is divided into three sectors, and the company's development plan calls for the production of at least three yachts per year; particular attention will be paid to sustainability and the energy transition.
