Austin-Parker-CAT56-overview

Austin Parker Yachts, an Italian yachting brand with its sales headquarters in Liguria and a production shipyard in Pisa, announces its acquisition by Turkish businessman Baris Nalcaci, a leader in composite materials for aviation and marine applications through his Turkish-based company Epsilon Composite, of which he is president. At the 2022 Dubai Boat Show, Nalcaci, along with Pininfarina and naval architect Fulvio De Simoni, announced the development of an innovative 48-foot power catamaran project.

Austin Parker Yachts, of which Giovanni Sebastiano Gravagno remains CEO and general manager, is a yacht building company with over 25 years of history in Europe and the United States.

Giovanni Sebastiano Gravagno, founder of Austin Parker Yachts says: "With Baris Nalcaci on board, we're embarking on a new era for the brand. His experience in global brand development, composite and other materials, as well as product design, will help us with this new project. We feel fortunate to have him as an investor, allowing us to begin this journey from our new 27-square-meter shipyard on the Navicelli Canal in Pisa, just 5 km from Galileo Galilei International Airport."

Baris Nalcaci, expressing his gratitude for being part of this iconic brand, confirms: Giovanni Sebastiano Gravagno will continue to guide Austin Parker Yachts on this exciting journey with his immense experience, as he is the heart and soul of the company. We will maintain the soul of Austin Parker Yachts, which has been very successful in various markets so far, particularly in the 44- to 85-foot range. In addition to strengthening our position with the existing product range, we will add new products that we believe will bring a wave of excitement to the market. The first of these products will be the power catamarans we will present at this year's Cannes Yachting Festival. I am thrilled that these catamarans, designed by Pininfarina in collaboration with the renowned naval architect Fulvio De Simoni, are coming to life. I am very confident about this fantastic journey with Giovanni Sebastiano Gravagno. The interest in our products exceeds my expectations, even at this early stage.

In this sentence Austin Parker Yachts is launching the Cat 56 project, a new line of power catamarans that will be presented at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2023 and produced and launched in 2024.
