The Siman shipyard in La Spezia has acquired another 35-meter vessel and will be at the Venice Boat Show.
General manager Gianfranco Giannotti summarizes the order portfolio in the construction of super yachts but also in the merchant and military sectors

Among the shipyards present at the Venice Boat Show, scheduled for May 31st to June 4th at the historic Arsenale, will be Siman, a La Spezia-based company that is increasingly making waves for its new constructions in both the yacht and commercial vessel sectors.
In the spring of 2022 the shipyard launched a super yacht renamed Miss Candy, the first 45-metre vessel built entirely in-house, which represented the debut in large-scale yachting and is now continuing the production of other super yachts between 36 and 50 metres (with their respective launches scheduled for the end of 2023) using internationally renowned designers, experienced management, skilled workers and specialized subcontractors.
General Manager Gianfranco Giannotti explained to SUPER YACHT 24 that "a 45-meter yacht will be delivered in spring/summer 2024 and will be designed by Harrison Eidsgaard, while we are in the final stages of finalizing a contract with a European owner for another 36-meter superyacht designed by Horacio Bozzo, which will debut in the first half of 2025." The signature is expected in the next few hours.
Siman, a shipyard with offices in La Spezia and Pisa, in addition to a superyacht division, also operates in the civil and military sectors, building transport vessels and vehicles for the armed forces. Recent orders include the design and production of five motorboats for ACTV – Azienda del Consorzio Trasporti Veneziano, which will operate on the city's inland waterways, and seven open-air vaporetti (water buses) that will transport hundreds of thousands of tourists to the lagoon each year.
"The first five are almost finished and will be delivered at the end of July. Construction on the other seven has begun, but they will enter service between the end of 2023 and the beginning of 2024," Giannotti further specifies.
The shipyard currently boasts, in addition to two production facilities, a staff of over 120 employees and a turnover of €20 million last year, which is expected to soar this year thanks to newly acquired orders. These include four tugboats (support tugs) under construction for the Italian Navy through a €8,4 million contract. Looking ahead, Siman's three business lines will increasingly focus on superyachts, military vessels, and merchant vessels.
