Stellamar, the new RJ 115 explorer ship from Cantiere delle Marche, has been launched.
Large spaces and luxury services in the purest style of CdM explorers characterise this new super yacht, already ready for a round-the-world trip for its owner couple.

The RJ 115 is the result of a fruitful collaboration between the shipyard's team and the talented Florentine designer, who has developed a successful series of RJ explorer yachts, with one RJ 130 delivered and two more RJ 115s in the pipeline. The owner of the first RJ 130 recently commissioned the shipyard to build a larger version of his yacht, an RJ 155, currently under construction. It goes without saying that this represents a vote of confidence in the shipyard and provides a further benchmark within the yachting community. All models in the RJ line share a strong personality, characterized by extremely balanced volumes and proportions throughout the design, as well as distinctive elements such as what we call "the invisible crane."
The project respects the finest tradition of yacht design, implementing it with highly sophisticated design solutions. The extensive use of glass in the bulkheads and open stern enhances visual continuity with the surrounding environment. Stellamar's profile is taut, yet encompasses sensual lines that add unparalleled elegance to her exterior design.
With this project, Francesco Paszkowski demonstrates that medium size isn't the enemy of creativity, but rather makes it more effective. Paszkowski has managed to equip the 35-meter yacht with generous spaces and luxurious amenities, while remaining true to its explorer yacht spirit. This is another feature that sets Cantiere delle Marche apart from most other shipyards in the industry.
"Over the years, we've demonstrated to the market that we can build true explorers with the elegance and style of a luxury yacht. The solutions we've implemented to ensure the RJ line meets all these requirements are once again CdM's," says Vasco Buonpensiere. "We can confidently say that in Cantiere delle Marche's 250/300GT steel/aluminum range, they are unmatched on the market and are undoubtedly the best alternative to a fiberglass yacht."
The RJ115 is a long-range exploration vessel, elegant yet robust, reliable and environmentally friendly, with unparalleled technical equipment. These features allow the owner, family, and friends to enjoy safe voyages in the most remote and secluded areas of the world. For all technical aspects, CdM has drawn not only on the experience of its in-house designers, but also that of its onboard technicians.
The interior layout has been adapted to the specific needs of the owner's family and features en-suite accommodations for eight guests (+2) in four cabins on the lower deck and a master cabin on the main deck forward. The crew of seven is accommodated in three cabins on the lower deck, while the captain's cabin is located next to the wheelhouse on the upper deck.
A cleverly designed layout offers easy circulation and a functional connection between decks, with all exterior stairs on the port side and wide side walkways. Great emphasis has been placed on outdoor areas, with spacious lounge/dining areas on all decks. However, if the sun and wind are sufficient, when entering the main or upper salon, you won't lose touch with the sea, as large windows illuminate the rooms and visually connect them.
On the lower deck you realise that natural light and views are not reserved only for the upper decks, as all four guest cabins on the lower deck, two of which have sea views
The guest cabins on the deck, two VIP and two double, are bright and airy thanks to the large windows.
Both owners were closely involved in the project, and she herself, as architect, made a significant contribution to its development. The yacht's interior design and decoration are visually striking, with soft forms and neutral colors. The textures of the wood and fabrics also play a key role, echoing natural materials.
Stellamar's furnishings, as a whole, work in harmony to create warm and welcoming environments.
The extensive use of natural oak for the floors and ceilings and cream leather upholstery lends the interiors a relaxing atmosphere throughout the yacht, both in the social and private areas. Paszkowski designed all the fixed furnishings and, in collaboration with the owners, selected most of them and the loose accessories, such as the Arpège Meridienne sofas by Christian Liaigre for the lounge area in the main salon, the Poliform Saint Germain sofas for the main salon, the Arpège Meridienne sofas by Christian Liaigre for the Poliform Saint Germain lounge in the Skylounge, the Archibald armchairs by Poltrona Frau, and the Hola chairs by Cassina in the dining area, whose table boasts a beautiful design with a Breccia Aurora marble top. All bathrooms share the same bright and relaxing atmosphere thanks to the matte white statuary marble paired with natural oak. The shower in the master bathroom is equipped with an infrared sauna and hammam.
The RJ115 is a full-displacement explorer with a steel hull and aluminum superstructure. With a total length of 35 meters and a beam of 7,50 meters, it displaces 283 tons. Two heavy-duty Caterpillar C18 Acert engines, each rated at 533 kW, comply with U.S. EPA Tier 3 and IMO Tier II emissions standards. Each engine has a fuel tank capacity of 45.000 liters, allowing for a range of approximately 5500 nautical miles at an economical speed of 9–10 knots. Stability is ensured by the hull geometry and enhanced by electric stabilizers.
“Stellamar will represent a turning point for its owners who want to take their time, redesign their work schedule and set off on a round-the-world trip,” and, Buonpensiere concludes the note: “They know that a comfortable and reliable exploration yacht like the RJ 115 will take them safely to the most remote corners of the globe, allowing them to realize this dream.”
