The hull of a 50-meter yacht for Benetti has been launched by the 3 Maj shipyard.
A new collaboration has been launched with the Trieste-based company Itaqua, controlled by Laurent Mariani.

A hull and superstructure built by the Trieste-based company Itaqua Srl, controlled by Laurent Mariani, have just been launched at the Croatian shipyard 3 Maj.
Local press sources and various social media posts are reporting images of the new 50-meter-long vessel touching the sea for the first time. It will then be transferred to Italy for final fitting out.
Secondo La Voce This is the first of a series of yachts that Trieste-based Itaqua Srl will build in one of the rented warehouses of the Rijeka shipyard.
The Italian company operates in the naval and industrial construction and maintenance sectors with its own facilities in Italy, Croatia, and Romania. The company employs approximately 150 people, including management, administrative, technical, and specialized workers. During production peaks, it relies on external staff, doubling the number of operators.
The new vessel was built in cooperation between “Itaqua” and the Rijeka shipyard and represents the beginning of a long-term collaboration in what is a first for the Kantrida shipyards.
Having long been struggling with a financial crisis and a lack of new orders, the 3 Maj shipyard also seems destined for a gradual conversion of production towards the superyacht sector.
Ljubomir Pozder, yacht coordinator at the 3 Maj shipyard, commented on the launch: “We have taken a step forward and written a new chapter in our shipyard's history. Despite having no previous experience in yacht building, we have successfully launched the first of a series of vessels for the Azimut Benetti Group and Itaqua. I thank my colleagues and everyone who participated and worked with me on this project. We look forward to the future with great optimism and hope, expecting a new siren call from the 3 Maj slipway.”
