Schenone (IL Investimenti) has acquired San Giorgio Yachting & Shipping Services

Born as a maritime agency for superyachts, the company's range of services has extended to include tax representation for shipping companies and the opening of a showroom in Marina Genova.

IL Investimenti, the financial company owned by the Schenone family, announced that it recently (last October) completed the acquisition of San Giorgio Yachting & Shipping Services, a company with a turnover of over €600 in 2021. The new shareholder structure sees President Fulvia Linari hold a 15% stake and the Schenone family holding company the remaining 85%.

"Founded in Genoa in 2010 as an agency primarily dedicated to the yachting market, a market that was just beginning a period of uninterrupted global growth, San Giorgio opened an office in Portofino several years later to offer its clients the opportunity to benefit from on-site service that embodies the same standards of presence and efficiency as its Genoa headquarters," a statement reads. It then adds: "San Giorgio's activities have successfully expanded, quickly including the provision of tax representation services to foreign yacht owners and the opening of a showroom in Marina Genova, called 'Soloportofino', dedicated to yacht and villa interiors, which boasts a substantial portfolio of megayachts among its clients."

Twelve years after its foundation (or the work of Fulvia Linari, Alessandra Burke and Lorenzo Vignolo), San Giorgio today represents an important reality in the national and European yachting scene.

The merger between San Giorgio and the IL Investimenti group, already present in Italy and France with its own operations in various shipping and logistics sectors, stems from the latter's desire to diversify and expand its operations by entering the yachting market with an already strongly consolidated position.

San Giorgio will continue to operate on the market with its own operational and logistics structure.
