The hulls of the first WiderCat 92 have been transferred and are ready for fitting out.
It will feature the latest version of the Serial Hybrid Propulsion System first introduced in 2015.

Wider Yachts has announced that the handling of both hulls of the first WiderCat 92 has recently been completed in anticipation of the launch scheduled for next summer.
The hulls of the series of hybrid-powered catamarans, the first of the five units sold by Wider, have reached the port of Fano, where work will continue with system installation, painting, and interior fittings. The deck and superstructure, already under construction, are expected in the coming weeks.
"We are deeply proud of the progress made on the WiderCat 92," said Marcello Maggi, head of W-Fin Sarl, the holding company that owns 100% of Wider's capital. "What until a few months ago was just an idea written on a blank sheet of paper, is now, thanks to the tenacity of everyone at Wider, a 92-foot catamaran under construction, featuring a distinctive design and the best hybrid technology available today."
The WiderCat 92, designed by Luca Dini Design & Architecture in collaboration with the Wider Style Center, features the latest and most exclusive version of the Serial Hybrid Propulsion System, first introduced by Wider in the superyacht segment in 2015. Specially designed with the best components for multihull application, the system harnesses both generators and solar panels to generate electricity.
"The energy generated is appropriately managed by the Wider Power Management System and used for propulsion and onboard utilities, also optimizing consumption by smoothing the generator's rpm, if and when involved. All unused energy produced, thanks to exclusive software, is used to recharge the battery pack, avoiding any waste," the shipyard explains in a statement. It adds that "the entire system is designed and built using specially developed and tested hardware that allows for completely safe operation and all-electric cruising, in complete silence and without vibrations. Consumption is drastically reduced, as are polluting emissions into the atmosphere, and maintenance intervals for mechanical components are significantly extended compared to traditional propulsion."
WiderCat 92 will debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2023, scheduled for September 12 to 17.
