Camper & Nicholsons unveils 2023 expansion plans
Having successfully closed 2022, the company, one of the most important in the yacht brokerage activity worldwide, has new projects with large shipyards and is planning new investments in Singapore, the Mediterranean and the United States.

The historic company Camper & Nicholsons, active in much of the world in all branches of yachting, chaired by Peter Lam and managed by Paolo Casani, shared its 2022 results and the company's plans for 2023.
Regarding the past year The company reports success across all business segments, which it summarizes by initially citing 5,5 km of yachts managed in both charter and private yacht management; 700 charters booked, for a total of 5.416 charter days. In terms of sales, both new and used, the yachts sold were of high value, originating from several Northern European and Italian shipyards. The consistently good sales performance is demonstrated by its results over the last 10 years: Camper & Nicholsons has had an 18,7% market share (in terms of yachts by length) of the top 5 brokerage firms in the industry.
“2022 was a record year for our company in terms of both retail and charter management revenues. Globally, in 2022 we managed €2,2 billion in charter asset value,” said Paolo Casani, while Daniela Duck, Coordinator of the new build division at Camper & Nicholsons, highlighted that the sector's new build sales in 2022 increased by 35% compared to an already impressive 2021, with 186 luxury yacht projects signed compared to 120 the previous year. She added: “Over the last 12 months, new projects have been delivered and signed with Feadship, Baglietto, and Mangusta, among others, which has kept the team very busy.”
Camper & Nicholsons began the year with a very positive outlook, given its 20% growth increase over 2022. Casani commented on the company's expansion and the reasons behind it: "We will open a new office in Singapore, which will enhance our reach and presence in Southeast Asia. Our Hong Kong office opened four years ago, and we are looking to enhance our presence in Asia."
Camper & Nicholsons also plans to expand in the Mediterranean and further consolidate its presence in the United States with significant investments.
