Navigo has approved the 2022-2024 strategic plan
Positive revenue forecasts with actions and activities planned for the next three years that aim to increasingly position the company internationally

The shareholders' meeting approved the action plan that Navigo will develop over the next three years, both nationally and internationally, in the nautical and yachting sectors, as well as in cross-sector and cross-sector exports of organizational models. The outlook is positive for the company, chaired by Katia Balducci and managed by Pietro Angelini, which will be in its 18th year in 2024. Together with its network of businesses and organizations, it will continue to develop startups and manage specialized groups such as the Consorzio Marine della Toscana, the Isyl Foundation, and the Tuscany for Shoes consortium, the network of footwear companies recently established in Capannori (Lucca). Other ongoing and ongoing efforts include alliances and collaborations with other districts and clusters in Italy and abroad, as already seen with the agreement with the Ligurian Marine Technologies District of La Spezia and the matching with businesses and shipyards in the nautical districts of the Netherlands and Germany.
On the economic front, Navigo forecasts a consolidated turnover of around €1.5 million over the next three years, along with investment in regional, national, and European projects. Starting in early 2023, both new European and cross-border calls for proposals (for Tuscany, Sardinia, Liguria, and the French Riviera) and the Tuscany Region's research and development calls are expected. In both cases, therefore, there are opportunities for companies and business networks to access funding for innovative and development projects, major projects under the PNRR, sustainability and research into hydrogen and methanol propulsion, and development agreements and contracts.
In terms of projects, services, training, and events, starting with the former, these concern European projects on green charters, strategic professions, equipment, and automation, while national projects focus on the development of smart buoys and the improvement of hulls and fluid dynamics. Regional projects focus on platform digitalization, tracking systems, route improvement tools, and new materials. Corporate services address B2B and marketing organization, internationalization and data analysis, temporary management, cluster management (including other districts and port networks), market positioning, and cybersecurity. Navigo also organizes customized cross-sector and regional events, district tours, and incoming operators. In terms of training, in addition to having developed and made independent Isyl, the only Higher Technical Institute in Italy for maritime professions, the strategy includes initiatives that integrate basic, technical, advanced, and corporate training.
"We see an increasingly dynamic positioning on the international front," explains Katia Balducci, president, "and recognition as a leading player in all aspects of nautical production and service. This is a source of pride for a team that currently employs 20 people across all fronts, and I thank them for their work. The projects and services we offer are in line with the developments being made in other countries, and our commitment—in an extremely positive moment with double-digit growth rates—must push us to use this time for investment and improvement."
"I'm pleased to emphasize that the network's 18th anniversary in 2024," emphasizes Pietro Angelini, General Manager, "is the result of our ability to adapt, listen to the market, be flexible to change, and introduce innovations. Faced with a more than positive situation, I believe it's time to look ahead and develop new ideas and technologies. Our positioning work has been important, and now we must embrace further challenges as soon as possible."
