Cantiere delle Marche sells another RJ155 superyacht
The orders received, for 15 explorers, will keep the shipyard busy for the next 4 years, but several other orders are in the definition phase

Cantiere delle Marche has announced the sale of another unit from the RJ155 series, the largest superyacht offered by the Marche-based manufacturer.
In a statement, Vasco Buonpensiere, sales and marketing director and one of the founders of Cantiere delle Marche, expressed his immense satisfaction with the interest generated by the RJ series, which stands out for its elegant lines despite being an offshore explorer yacht. Five units of this type have already been sold to date.
After all, Cantiere delle Marche has the DNA of an explorer yacht, having been founded in 2010 – thus defying the global yachting crisis of those years – immediately entering the particular niche of explorer yachts, perceiving its great potential for development.
Born from the union of several entrepreneurs from the Marche region, led by the Virgili and Cecchini families, Cantiere delle Marche, financially solid and with particular expertise in the nautical sector, has seen itself rewarded by a rapid climb that has brought it, within a few years, among the top 20 shipbuilders in the world.
The orders received, for 15 explorer yachts, will keep the shipyard busy for the next four years, but several more are being finalized. There are no concerns about delivery times, and enthusiasm is high: "We are truly honored by the trust that another of our existing clients has placed in us by committing to such an extraordinary vessel, which will undoubtedly take Cantiere delle Marche to the next level," said Buonpensiere. "Everyone will work tirelessly to ensure all owners can enjoy their new yacht as planned in early 2025."
RJ boasts robustness, seaworthiness, a long range, generous interior space for both guests and crew, ample storage, refrigerators and freezers, and top-notch equipment, as befits an ocean exploration yacht. She has a sturdy steel hull and an aluminum superstructure with exterior lines by Francesco Paszkowski, who designed the entire series. The interiors will be designed by Achille Salvagni, who was also entrusted with designing most of the furniture.
Among the most significant technical features of the new RJ155, in addition to its 45-meter length and 8,8-meter beam, is its layout across three decks plus a spacious sundeck. It can accommodate up to 12 guests in five suites, four of which are on the lower deck amidships and the owner's suite on the main deck forward. The exterior areas are extraordinarily spacious, both on the main deck and the upper aft deck. The tenders are stowed on the upper deck forward, while a comprehensive array of water toys and diving equipment are stored in the spacious area accessed from the swim platform: a true CdM signature. And in keeping with the shipyard's tradition, the RJ155 explorer will feature a textbook engine room with an adjoining control room.
Pierluigi Ausonio will oversee the technical equipment and naval architecture. The vessel will displace approximately 460 tons, while its gross tonnage will remain below 500 gross tonnage. Power will be provided by two Caterpillar C32 Acert Wosr engines, each producing 895 kW; the range will exceed 5.000 miles at 9 knots, allowing for extended cruises without stopping for refueling. Two pairs of high-performance electric stabilizers will ensure cruising comfort, while vibrations from rotating machinery will be drastically reduced thanks to the use of external thrust bearings.
"Thanks to our innovative drive and the extensive expertise we've acquired over the years, Cantiere delle Marche is now in a privileged position, and our brand has become a benchmark in the recreational boating market," said Ennio Cecchini, CEO of the Ancona-based shipyard. "The ever-increasing number of repeat customers, our commercial success, and the results achieved in the used market speak for themselves."
