Rolls-Royce and Ferretti Group extend commercial agreements
The renewal has a duration of five years and will guarantee the availability of supplies without the risk of market fluctuations.

The agreement between Rolls-Royce and the Ferretti Group through which the latter will continue to use MTU engines and propulsion systems to power its yachts.
The partnership between the two companies has been ongoing for many years; Ferretti Group in particular uses RR engines in its larger models, appreciating their power delivery, reliability and fuel efficiency.
“Ferretti’s renewal of this framework agreement is a huge vote of confidence in us and our MTU products in a challenging market and technological environment,” said Andreas Schell, CEO of Rolls-Royce Power Systems.
"By working together, we will also address the climate and environmental challenges that lie ahead," assured Denise Kurtulus, Vice President of Global Marine at Rolls-Royce's Power Systems division. In the near future, the internal combustion engine will be the preferred power source for applications—including yachts—that require maximum performance from a compact powertrain, and it will play an important role in the transition to a sustainable world of sailing. For example, a Ferretti Group yacht with an MTU hybrid propulsion system is planned for construction in 2024. Furthermore, in 2023, MTU Series 2000 and 4000 engines will be approved to run on sustainable synthetic fuels compliant with the EN15940 standard. These include fuels such as HVO (hydrotreated vegetable oil) and e-diesel.
Ferretti Group CEO Alberto Galassi also commented: "I am extremely pleased to announce the renewal of the agreement with Rolls-Royce for MTU components and solutions. The five-year term is crucial, as it guarantees continuous supply and pricing protected from market fluctuations. This agreement also further increases the efficiency of our supply chain, with clear benefits for us and our customers."
