Sanlorenzo sets a record: contract signed for its new flagship, the 73Steel.
This new 73-metre unit will be delivered in 2026 and brings to 23 the number of superyachts over 44 metres under construction

The new metal giant from Sanlorenzo will have a total length of 73 meters, an innovative diesel-electric propulsion system designed to minimize emissions, and a unique layout. The exterior lines will once again be entrusted to the creative studio Zuccon International Project, while the décor concept "promises to be innovative and at times revolutionary," according to the shipyard.
"The new 73Steel project represents a fascinating new chapter in the shipyard's history, not only because of its dimensions, which are currently the largest ever built, but also because it demonstrates how strongly the company believes, more than ever, in the evolution and importance of a complex market like that of superyachts. As designers, we can only be proud once again to participate in this new adventure, basing our design research on the development of a design that, despite the large volumes available, is able to convey an idea of extreme dynamism, sportiness, and contemporaneity. And it is precisely this subtle dialogue between the pursuit of a strongly contemporary style and constant inspiration from stylistic elements now consolidated in the brand's DNA that characterizes the perfect interpretation of this project," said Bernardo Zuccon of Studio Zuccon International Project. "Each line has been crafted to emphasize the tension and plasticity of the forms, which appear to be in constant motion, seamlessly changing and adapting to create the perfect dialogue between interior and exterior spaces; a dynamic and unceasing rhythm that aims for a formal evolution capable of reconstructing, each time and in every detail, the strongly identifying language that has always characterized Sanlorenzo products."
