Azimut Grande 26M launched in Viareggio
It is the first yacht ever to adopt the new Pod 4600 propulsion system developed by ZF

The Grande 26M is the brand new superyacht just launched in Viareggio by Azimut and expected at the 2022 Cannes Yachting Festival. “It presents itself as a new concept yacht, which in twenty-six meters fully expresses the design vision of the Grande Line: a fluid layout and versatile spaces, flows that guarantee privacy for guests and independence for the crew, a master cabin on the main deck with floor-to-ceiling windows and lots and lots of light,” explains the shipyard in a statement.
Furthermore, the Grande 26M responds to the desires of a contemporary owner who seeks freedom in contact with the sea and finds it in the extraordinary terrace overlooking the water – Deck2Deck – inspired by that of the flagship of the range. This design innovation is achieved thanks to the extension of the transom, which can be raised to transform the cockpit into a spacious terrace, which serves the dual function of a lounge area or a dining room with a walkaround table. The transformable furnishings help accentuate its multiple uses without ever sacrificing a boundless view of the horizon.
The external lines are conceived, as for the Grande 36M, by Alberto Mancini, while the interiors are designed by Achille Salvagni.
The Grande 26M is part of Azimut's new generation of 'Low Emission Yachts' and is the first yacht ever to adopt the new Pod 4600 propulsion system developed by ZF. The innovative, high-efficiency propulsion system, combined with a superstructure that's 30% lighter thanks to the extensive use of carbon fiber, allows for up to 20% less fuel consumption compared to a vessel of the same size.
The Grande 26M joins the new models that will be under the spotlight during the 2022 Cannes Yachting Festival, which will inaugurate the boat show season.
