Mengy-Yay Yachts reveals details of La Vie and previews upcoming developments.
The latest construction of the Turkish shipyard is born from a series of collaborations in which Italian style and expertise stand out

The Turkish shipyard Mengi-Yay has released more information to better publicize its yachts and its schedule: starting with the flagship yacht La Vie, a 47,8-meter vessel launched last April, which is 60 cm longer than her sister ship Balmy, launched in June, the shipyard reports that her exterior was designed by the Trieste-based studio VYD, the interiors by Florentine designer Leonardo Santi Design, and the naval architecture is by Dutch firm Ginton Naval Architects.
The generous beach club is one of La Vie's key features, thanks in part to its terraces that open out to the sea and a series of hydraulic steps for easy access to the water. A shaded and refreshing lounge area inside the yacht also maintains a connection to the water.
The main saloon and master stateroom have opening balconies as standard, which can however be removed by the prospective owner.
Outdoor living opportunities abound throughout the superyacht, including a spacious sundeck and shaded dining area on the main deck aft and a convivial seating arrangement on the upper deck. Optional umbrellas are also available on the foredeck, allowing for entertaining and relaxation.
The owner has a wide range of options for customizing La Vie, including options for a transverse or longitudinal tender garage, different pool and jacuzzi configurations, and even the positioning of the superstructure.
Among the many opportunities Mengy-Yay Yachts offers owners is the opportunity to personally choose their own interior designer. For the other two Virtus 47s under construction, scheduled for launch this year, the shipyard has commissioned Red Yacht Design to design the interiors.
The superyacht has a volume of 498 GT and can accommodate up to 10 guests in five cabins and seven crew members in four cabins. Built in steel and aluminum and powered by two Cat La Vie engines, it has a top speed of 14.5 knots, which can be reduced to 12.
On this occasion, Mengy-Yay announced that he is working on a new model: the Atlante Mistral 41. The series is a semi-custom and includes six superyachts, the first hull of which will be launched next year while the second hull, already available for sale from the Yacht & Villa company, will be launched in 2023.
