Agreement with Azimut Benetti to build and sell GerrisBoats tenders
The founder Massimo Verme had announced this agreement with a leading group in the large nautical sector in May

As a announced in recent weeks by SUPER YACHT 24, The innovative startup GerrisBoats, whose mission is to develop the Gerris platform for tenders and dayboats, has signed a major contract with Azimut|Benetti for the construction, by the group's production facility, of a first prototype of the GerrisTender (a vessel that won the Seatec Millennium Yacht Design Award). The agreement also includes an option for the exclusive purchase of the licensing rights for serial production.
One of GerrisBoats' founders, Massimo Verme, expressed satisfaction with this agreement, saying: "We are very proud to see our idea recognized by the world's leading superyacht builder; to our knowledge, this is the first time a startup in the diverse and sometimes confusing world of electrofoiling has partnered with a major nautical group, particularly one that has always proven to be solid and reliable."
The Gerris project is described as a concentration of "disruptive" technology that clearly differentiates itself from other foilers. Fully electric, with a variable-height platform stabilized in roll and pitch even when stationary, the GerrisTender "is designed to fly with high energy savings and comfort at a lower, safer speed."
The project is the result of two years of development and therefore the construction of the molds will be able to begin soon.
GerrisBoats is also engaged in the construction of a self-financed demonstrator GerrisMoto, and an equity crowdfunding campaign is online on the BacktoWork platform.
