Two thousand new hires for Rina in the next two years

The Genoese group led by Ugo Salerno closed the 2021 financial year with revenues of 533 million euros (+14%) and profits that rose to 8,1 million

The Rina Group, a multinational company active in inspection, certification and engineering consultancy, has announced that it has approved the 2021 financial statements closed with net revenues at 31 December equal to 533 million euros, up 14% compared to 2020, and a Net profit rose to 8,1 million euros compared to 4,9 million in 2020. The net financial position fell to -139,7 million euros, with a consequent reduction in leverage to 1,92.

“The 2021 accounts are positive also by virtue of the trend of the reference markets, are the result of the solidity of the business and the company's ability to adapt strategies and operating models to constantly changing and highly disruptive contexts,” the company explains in a statement.

Rina anticipates that the positive trend will continue in the first quarter of 2022, with revenues of approximately €141 million, "in line with budget." The performance of the business units and order intake of nearly €207 million "allow us to confirm the economic and financial guidance for the current year. Regarding revenues, the volume forecast for 2022 is already 71% covered, and the Net Financial Performance is in line with forecasts."

Despite the complexities arising from the geopolitical context, 2022, according to the company, "brings to the table opportunities in drivers—for example, in the fields of renewable energy, digitalization, cybersecurity, and infrastructure—that Rina has identified as essential to its strategic choices."

Il President and CEO Ugo Salerno declared: “These data are by no means a point of arrival, but are the result of a growth path that Rina is pursuing with a clear vision, based on ESG principles. Our expansion plan continues both externally, thanks to several M&A projects in the pipeline, and internally, with the support of a major hiring plan that will lead us to hire over two thousand new colleagues in the next two years, half of whom will be in Italy."
