The new 47-meter aluminum sloop will be ready in 2024 and will "showcase the evolution in style and design thanks to the group's Style Center"

The Italian Sea Group shipyard, reconfirming the resumption of operations at its Viareggio and La Spezia production sites "in record time," has provided an update on Perini Navi's new production plan.

"The industrial geography designed by Giovanni Costantino, founder and CEO of The Italian Sea Group, envisions that the Viareggio shipyards will continue to be dedicated to the construction of sailing vessels up to 60 meters, while larger vessels will be built in La Spezia and Marina di Carrara," reads a statement from the group. "The strategic plans are clear: the Perini Navi brand will only build large sailing yachts, respecting tradition and aesthetic lines, but 'innovation' will be the key word for design, sail systems, and propulsion solutions."

Perini Navi's production plan already includes three deliveries, "which will confirm the brand's prestige as the undisputed leader in large sailing yachts, as well as the group's significant commercial capacity": a 60-meter ketch due for delivery at the end of 2023, a 47-meter sloop due for delivery in the first half of 2024, and a 56-meter ketch due for delivery at the end of 2024.

"The new 47-meter aluminum sloop is the first Perini Navi sailing yacht by The Italian Sea Group, showcasing the evolution in style and design thanks to the Group's Style Center," the Tuscan group further specifies. It adds: "Perini Navi's stylistic codes have been reinterpreted with new energy, a more decisive style, and a clear innovation in aesthetic and functional choices that further enhance the traditional comfort and spaciousness typical of metal hulls. Among the innovations, the use of carbon fiber not only for the imposing 62,5-meter mast and boom, but also for the diagonals, finishes, and deck accessories. The dynamic spirit of this 47-meter yacht is further accentuated by the system fly-by-wire with twin rudders to allow better maneuverability in all conditions and at all speeds”. Delivery of this sloop is scheduled for the first half of 2024.
