Sanlorenzo lands in the port area of Pisa, entering Mec-Carpensalda
The Perotti shipyard in La Spezia has acquired a share of the company specializing in metal carpentry, also for the construction of yachts.

The Sanlorenzo shipyard in Ameglia (La Spezia), led by Massimo Perotti, is strengthening its production network with the acquisition of a 48% stake in the Livorno-based company Mec-Carpensalda. The acquisition was revealed by the newspaper La Nazione, which noted that Mec-Carpensalda, founded in 1965, produces medium-heavy industrial metalwork, industrial plant engineering, boilermaking, and primarily shipbuilding and repairs. On its website, the company explains its industrial complex comprises two production facilities, one in Livorno and the other in Pisa, totaling approximately 10.000 square meters of fully equipped warehouses with 13 overhead cranes and approximately 17.000 square meters of service yards. The two sites are connected by a navigable canal with direct access to the sea.
Sanlorenzo's arrival at Navicelli, in Pisa's industrial port area, appears to have occurred through the formation of a new company "that will relaunch the historic Lotti family company, headquartered in Livorno and with operations in the Pisa dock." Details of the transaction, which appears to have already been finalized, are top secret. The board of directors of the new company formed from the alliance between Carpensalda and the Sanlorenzo shipyards, chaired by Bruno Lotti, includes CEO Riccardo Cima, Giacomo Lotti, and Ferruccio Rossi, president of Sanlorenzo's superyacht division.
Salvatore Pisano, sole director of Navicelli di Pisa, the public management company for the canal and the dock, commented on this new alliance: "Sanlorenzo's arrival in the dock opens up interesting employment opportunities. I can say that Sanlorenzo chose Carpensalda and the Navicelli precisely because our work in recent years has made the Pisan nautical hub extremely attractive and capable of combining industrial development and environmental sustainability."
