Baglietto launches the first of five 41-meter Dom 133s
Meanwhile, at the La Spezia shipyard, work is also underway to complete the SuperFast42 for summer delivery.

Dom133, the first of a series of five 41-meter aluminum superyachts built by the La Spezia-based Baglietto shipyard, has just been launched. Designed by the young Stefano Vafiadis of the eponymous design studio, she entered the waters of Massa Carrara, where the shipyard has its headquarters. After launching, Dom133 was transported to the La Spezia shipyard for completion of her fittings.
The new creation is scheduled for delivery to its owner next summer – as is the case with the SuperFast 42 planing yacht designed by Francesco Paszkowski and Plana Design, the renderings of which were revealed before the launch – but it will have its world premiere at the Cannes Yacht Festival in September.
The 41-meter Dom133 has a maximum beam of 8,70 meters and is destined to play a leading role in the large-scale yachting industry, with four more models in the series already under construction in the Carrara shipyards, scheduled for delivery by 2024. Built in aluminum with modern and attractive lines, it has a cutting-edge interior layout and onboard equipment, but what sets it apart from the others – according to the shipyard – is its ability to alternate challenging transoceanic crossings with relaxing shallow-water cruising thanks to a shallow draft of just 2,15 meters. Powered by twin Caterpillar C32 engines, the Dom133 can reach a remarkable top speed of 17 knots in displacement trim.
Among the many prestigious features, according to the shipyard, is the main deck layout, conceived and developed to ensure optimal flow between interior and exterior areas while enhancing the convivial atmosphere. On the same deck, the main salon has floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows that open, making it a natural extension of the aft cockpit. The beach club is designed on two levels with an infinity pool and a lifting floor that can increase the already spacious cockpit. A second pool is planned on the sundeck.
"The DOM 133 is a project we've strongly believed in from the very beginning, and its market success so far demonstrates its value. Looking at this ship now, in its natural element, makes us all immensely proud," said Fabio Ermetto, Baglietto's chief commercial officer, in his speech at the launch.
At the Baglietto shipyard in La Spezia, as previously mentioned, work is also underway to complete the SuperFast42 for summer delivery. The vessel has similar dimensions to the Dom133 and is also constructed of aluminum, but is a planing version. From the virtual images released by the shipyard, the SuperFast42 has a very modern line with iconic references to the past. Its sleek hull and aggressive mood are accentuated by the extensive use of multi-level glass surfaces, giving the exterior a very contemporary feel.
The hull, designed by Plana Design, is completely new and is capable of a top speed of 28 knots thanks to the power of three MTU 16V 2000 M96 L engines with two external traditional shaft drives and a central VOITH linear jet transmission. As with the Dom133, the limited draft of 2,1 meters allows the SuperFast 42 to navigate easily even in shallow waters.
SuperFast has a compact, low-height hardtop superstructure. Its stern features a downward-opening hatch that creates a comfortable swimming platform overlooking the sea, complete with sofas and a bar, while a side hatch allows for launching.
The superyacht's interiors have a classic layout, with the full-beam master cabin forward on the main deck, complete with a large bathroom and spacious walk-in closet. A conversation area welcomes guests as they enter this deck, which also houses the dining area and galley. The entire sleeping area is on the lower deck and includes four guest cabins: two double VIP cabins and two guest cabins with twin beds and an additional pullman bed. On the same deck, forward, is the crew quarters with a captain's cabin, dinette, and three cabins with bunk beds. The wheelhouse is located on the upper deck and directly connects to the spacious sky lounge with a conversation area and cinema room. The dining table is located outside, while the aft sundeck is furnished with loungers and seating; on the same deck, forward, the yacht has a second sundeck.
