Seares Seadamp

Seares, the Tuscan startup founded in 2018 and headquartered in Livorno, continues to grow. It has quickly achieved its goal by successfully producing and marketing Seadamp mooring systems, mechatronic dampers for boat mooring that improve comfort and safety by recovering energy from wave motion.
The investment round more than doubled compared to 2020, closing in 2021 with a total investment of 900 thousand euros, subscribed by the startup relaunch fund of Cdp Venture Capital Sgr (fund subscribed by the Ministry of Economic Development with a commitment of 200 million euros), Selected Investiments (operational holding company), and other private investors.
Seadamp is a solution also applicable to ports and marinas, enabling energy recovery for the entire structure. Seadamp mooring systems are 100% Italian products, designed and manufactured in Tuscany and internationally patented.

"2021 was a truly positive year for Seares," emphasizes Seares founder and CEO Giorgio Cucè. "Although the first few months were consistently impacted by pandemic-related restrictions and we were only able to participate in the Genoa Boat Show, we managed to sign important distribution agreements with leading international players. This funding will allow us to increase production capacity, strengthen Seares' positioning in Italy, and further accelerate our international growth strategy. Gaining the trust of a player like CDP Venture Capital is an honor and a confirmation of the validity of our work and the quality of our mechatronic products, which aim to recover energy from the inexhaustible energy source of the sea, a crucial issue in the era of climate change. This validation and acceleration will allow us to
to broaden the range of our products and services to an even wider audience and to meet the increasingly frequent customization needs of our customers, also reaching prestigious internationally renowned Yacht Clubs”.
